About the Artist

As a contemporary British artist with roots in Russia, Natalia Samarina is on an artistic journey sparked by a passion for the fascinating beauty of nature and the timeless masterpieces of Valentin Serov, Isaac Levitan, Ivan Aivazovsky, Ivan Shishkin, John Singer Sargent and others. From an early age, Natalia possessed an innate adoration for the picturesque wonders of nature. Relatively recent plunge into the world of art is a testament to the flame of curiosity that ignited within her, propelling to a creative journey that continues to evolve.

Her artistic narrative took a profound turn with a move to the enchanting landscapes of West Sussex. Here, amid the coastal wonders and rolling hills, she found an inspiration in the extraordinary beauty that surrounded her. Each element of this harmonious experience sought expression on Natalia's canvas, shaping her artistic vision.

Natalia's artistic style predominantly aligns with the classical tradition, but she adds a modern twist that reflects her own personality and perspective. Each brushstroke brought to life by her passion for the subject matter, serves as a testament to her deep appreciation and admiration for the natural world, whether it be the delicate intricacies of a flower, the swirling majesty of a cloud, or the radiant brilliance of a sunbeam.

“Through my work, I hope to bring a sense of peace and joy to the hearts of those who view it – a quiet reminder of the harmony that exists in the natural world and within ourselves.”

Her work spans a variety of subjects and techniques, as she is deeply curious about the endless possibilities within the artistic realm. Experimentation and learning are at the heart of her practice, and she is constantly inspired to challenge herself with new ideas. She takes lessons and mentorship from the well established artists in UK (Svetlana Cameron) and US (Daniel Gerhartz and Tina Garrett) and wants to develop her art skill to create an exceptional, emotional, storytelling images.

In sharing art journey with a wider audience, Samarina sells her creations through personal website, Gigglewick gallery http://www.gigglewick.co.uk , exhibitions and various platforms. She also offer commissioned work, transforming individual visions into captivating pieces of art.

However, art for Natalia is more than personal expression; it's a conduit for giving back. Committed to making a positive impact, she consistently donates a portion of profits to various charities. This endeavour aligns with her belief in the transformative power of art to affect positive change in the lives of others.

Through exploration of the beauty that surrounds us and ability to capture its essence on canvas, Natalia invites viewers to embark on a visual journey. This journey celebrates the wonders of nature and the limitless possibilities of artistic expression, encouraging each observer to find their own connection with the world through the lens of creations.
